I have also been making hexagons using this super simple pattern from One Loop Short. And I have wanted to make pom-poms for so long and I tried last night using this tutorial from One Loop Short as well. I am going to wrap gifts and attach them. So much fun.
I still have super hero capes to finish and edible gifts to make and my husband has kindly offered to help me! :)
Making all these gifts has pushed me in many ways... to work on a deadline (want to be done this week to enjoy the month of December with the kiddies), to experiment, to play.
And with Thanksgiving (we had some snow!) having come and gone I wanted to say Thank You to all who have come by here either once or often. I appreciate YOU! This creative community has enriched my life in ways I can't even tell you!!
Hugs,
Dana
P.S. I decided to treat myself to an early birthday gift and sign up for Big Dreams, Small Wonders with Louise Gale! It starts in January. If you sign up for her newsletter you can get a reduced price for the class.... but you have to sign up by Monday for the reduced price!

Wow! You have been sooo busy and I just LOVE your crocheted pieces...especially the little black doily necklace...so gorgeous and completely different!
I've just finished a gift but didn't enjoy feeling rushed by deadlines and ended up not enjoying the creating so much....I'm really curious as to how you are managing all this with such an air of calm? :)
Haha, it is sorta interesting to cover a rock but very cute!! I don't recognize your banner and I'm not sure if it's because I haven't stopped by forever or if it's because you changed it since I was here last but either which way I LOVE it! Good luck with your deadline :)
SO excited you are joining us in the class Dana. AND i love the crochet pieces. Wonder if you can create something out of both crochet AND paper (i love your paper wreaths) The world of fabric and sewing is about to open up in my word too - a creative goal of mine for 2011!
with every photo i kept exclaiming how lovely your creations all are! they're incredible and it's so inspiring!
so happy you'll be in louise's class too! i cannot wait!

Hello after a long time! I've only just caught up with your new page.
I love love love those stones! What a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing.
Blogging ideas aren't a problem, and I actually write more posts than I ever publish, BUT I'm constantly in conflict about what I want to share with the world and what I want to keep private. It's such a fine balance, I think!
hm, I left a comment but I think maybe it didn't go through? Anyway let's try again:
You have been working so hard on your gifts, and so far they are amazing. You have some lucky folks on your list. I am making similar bracelets (but knitted) for all the little girls on my list. The crochet necklace is awesome--totally dramatic, I love the black.
As for the end of naps--I feel your pain. I think I actually mourned when my kids stopped napping. It's such a change in the rhythm of the day. Sounds like you're getting along just find, though. Glad your back, Dana! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
Those bracelets are just fantastic. Good on you lovely lady. x
Dearest sweet Dana, these Crochet items are gorgeous! I really adore that one with the doily. Thanks so much for sharing! Love to you!
