Waiting for Spring

Where flowers bloom so does hope. - Lady Bird Johnson

"I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers."
-  Claude Monet

There are always flowers for those who want to see them. ~ Henri Matisse

"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
- Anais Nin
"Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world."-Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Spring is just a couple of weeks away here but today my heart really needs to see some beautiful blooms.
Here are many more lovely flower quotes.

From Jubliate Agno by Christopher Smart (1762)...just for you :)

For there is no Height in which there are not flowers.

For flowers have great virtues for all the senses.

For the flower glorifies God and the root parries the adversary.

For the flowers have their angels even the words of God's Creation.

For the warp and woof of flowers are worked by perpetual moving spirits.

For flowers are good both for the living and the dead.

For there is a language of flowers.

For there is a sound reasoning upon all flowers.

For elegant phrases are nothing but flowers.

For flowers are peculiarly the poetry of Christ.

For flowers are medicinal.

For flowers are musical in ocular harmony.

For the right names of flowers are yet in heaven. God make gard'ners better nomenclators.

Such gorgeous blooms...makes me forget that although it may technically be spring, it won't really be spring up here in Wisconsin for at least another month!
