Creativity Bootcamp

From May 15-28, 2011 Maegan Beishline from Life Set to Words is running Creativity Boot Camp:Spring Training.

CBC: Spring Training is all about artistic exploration…and through that exploration, getting to know yourself as an artist. It is all about doing the work and flexing the creative muscles in an effort to get to the place where you are producing very authentic work…the work of your soul. Each day of the two week course, there will be a different essay on creativity, an activity to go along with that essay, and some ideas for journaling or further thinking. Also, throughout the course, there will be thoughts and inspiration shared by other artists to really dive into the different mediums. 

I was lucky enough to be asked to participate and one of YOU gets a complimentary spot in the course!

A great video and art for you

In case you haven't seen this video. I caught it on Kelly Rae's blog. Kelly Corrigan, author of The Middle Place and Lift. She talks about women and dreams. Such a great video as this one was too!

One of my creative dreams, and probably where most of all the other ones come from is to spread joy with my art. I have these four collages packed away. I made them awhile ago and art isn't meant to be packed away. I want to give them to YOU.  So if any of these pieces of art bring YOU any bit of joy (and please, please, please don't say yes if they don't. Holiday Ornament and a Thank You

This is my ornament for the 4th Annual Freshly Blended Ornament Swap. I had tons of scrap paper laying around and I hate wasting it! Seriously there is tons. So I am not completely done with them but I will be in the next day or two and then I will send them out to their new homes.

There are ten people who I have to send one to but I made 12. One is already going to a new friend and I would love to send YOU one! Just a little thank you for coming by. I really appreciate it whenever anyone takes the time to read a post and if you comment that is all the better.

So seeing that this is the week of Thanksgiving here in the states I am asking you to think of someone that YOU can thank. Call, write, get together for a cup of coffee with them. Whatever fun way you can think of. Let them know how thankful you are for them. Post in the comments who you will thank and why ( if you feel comfortable doing that). I will pick a winner on Thanksgiving night 11/26.

Since I only had one entry for the giveaway it was an easy contest ha ha. Dana from Leililaloo http://leililaloo.blogspot.com/ (who is a fabulous artist by the way) won the CREATE collage. Congrats Dana! And thanks for stopping and commenting. It means alot!

Also, I have a new Color Story today. I love color! It really makes me happy. This is one that is inspired by all the wonderful colors of the flowers and crittersof summer. Evergreen, lime, celadon, magenta, and red. ( In case you are wondering I am just making these little color stories in my small index card book. You could use anything really. Just a record of interesting and inspiring colors.)
I am still immersed in summer but fall is slowly creeping its way into my psyche. I am going to start working on some fall wreaths and I am going to do some designs for this http://craneinsider.blogspot.com/2009/07/crane-seeks-artists-for-new-studio_08.html. Wish me luck.
